Easton Leisure Centre has revealed its transformed gym facilities for the community to enjoy following a £3.8million refurbishment.
The centre, run by award-winning operator Everyone Active in partnership with Bristol City Council, has unveiled its upstairs gym extension with brand-new top-of-the-range equipment from Life Fitness, as well as a brand-new, dedicated women-only gym which includes a range of weights, cardio and functional stretching areas.
Upgrades to the leisure centre began in April and are due to be fully completed in December.
The sports hall is also being modernised and refurbished with a brand-new family friendly soft play area added as part of the project.
The soft play area will feature a six-metre-high, four-tier play space and large seating area offering a fun sensory environment for children to engage in being active.
A new exercise studio is currently being installed and will include all new equipment, providing more opportunities for group exercise classes. A modern pool and gym changing area, squash court refurbishment, new reception, seating and café area also form part of the refurbishment.
The jointly-funded makeover is part of Bristol City Council’s Leisure Facilities Investment Strategy.
