


Meadowside Leisure Centre in Burton upon Trent has opened its upgraded gym and extended soft play on Saturday, July 5.
The centre has benefitted from a £212,000 investment by award-winning operator Everyone Active, who run the site in partnership with East Staffordshire Borough Council.
The project covers the expansion and refurbishment of the soft play, to enable youngsters to get active in an environment packed with excitement, while the gym features a raft of new, state-of-the-art machines from Life Fitness.
There is a new recovery area which includes Theraguns to aid recovery, while new flooring, lighting and décor has been added to the whole gym.
The soft play is now equipped with a new football/basketball court, a new slide and sensory play features. The soft play launch took place from 8.30am-3pm on Saturday, July 5.
Everyone Active’s general manager, Ross Williams, said: “We are really proud of the upgraded facilities at Meadowside Leisure Centre and cannot wait to welcome the local community to try them out.
“The expanded soft play will be the perfect way for kids to burn energy and have fun, while people of all ages will benefit from the new, state-of-the-art equipment in the gym.
