The brand-new Bedworth Physical Activity Hub will open its doors to the local community for the first time on Tuesday, March 10.
The £30.6million centre, run by award-winning operator Everyone Active in partnership with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, will open from 9am.
At 7pm on Monday, March 9, Bedworth Leisure Centre will close its doors for the final time, with all memberships transferring to the new site.
Among the state-of-the-art facilities at Bedworth Physical Activity Hub are a 25m pool, learner pool with movable floor and a 100-station gym with Life Fitness and EGYM equipment.
Also included are a versatile group exercise studio, spacious changing areas, wellness hub and meeting rooms and a grab and go café.
A four-court sports hall will open on Monday, March 16, with a fantastic Reformer studio to be launched on Saturday, March 21. An external sports pitch will arrive in September.
Lloyd Barraclough, Everyone Active’s area contract manager, said: “We cannot wait to welcome the local community to this incredible facility, which offers something for everyone, no matter what your age, interests or ability.
“This centre will serve the health and wellbeing of local people for many years to come and I would urge everyone to come down and make use of the state-of-the-art facility on their doorstep.”
Cllr Brady Hughes, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health, said: “This really is fantastic news for our Borough, and we are all looking forward to the opening of the new Physical Activity Hub in Bedworth.
“This facility will benefit our entire community and has something to offer residents of all ages for many years to come.
“The leisure facilities now on offer in Nuneaton and Bedworth, following the Council’s investment, provide residents with a range of opportunities to support them in improving their health and well-being and we hope that people take up this opportunity.”
